Hello,

what options are there for concrete cosmetic treatment of a floor slab?

The floor slab was partially clean/smoothly shuttered, partially with OSB, which left the texture, see photo. I want to even out the two different surfaces.

No perimeter insulation, bitumen coating, or similar will be applied to the front side; the concrete look will remain.

There are spots where the floor slab is not that high, and the optical difference doesn't bother me that much; but there are spots (due to terrain slope) where a whole section was shuttered higher, and I definitely want to do something there. The question is what?

Then there are spots, unfortunately I don’t have a photo at the moment, where the shuttering was basically done uncleanly, with actual "breakouts"; cosmetic treatment is probably not enough there, I need some kind of repair concrete putty.

Best regards Jens

You can probably forget it. Everything you apply on it will no longer look like exposed concrete. Were these areas explicitly planned as exposed concrete? Or just trying your luck to see if it works? Unfortunately, that went wrong. That's why exposed concrete is so difficult because you can't correct it afterwards.

The execution in exposed concrete was neither planned nor commissioned.

I would also be satisfied with a uniform structure, meaning everything formed with OSB. What bothers me is the mix of smooth formwork and OSB texture.

Then you at least got what is normal. Concrete grinder is the method of choice. And then a lot of muscle power. Will it be nice? No idea. Even? After a lot of work, definitely.

Won't that be covered by the gravel strip later anyway? Otherwise, the concrete filler you're looking for is also available for purchase. Whether it will look nicer in the end... no idea.
