Renovation costs end-of-row house from the 70s / 205 sqm

Hello everyone,

my wife and I want to buy a [REH] from 1977 in Bochum. The price is probably way too high, but that’s the market. The apartment has a size: ground floor 78sqm / upper floor 78sqm / attic 65sqm

We plan the following tasks:

- Remove old floor and screed, install new underfloor heating
- New electrical system
- New piping system

- We want to do the gutting ourselves
- I can install the electrical system, I am a trained electrician
- We can also do various other tasks ourselves

Everything else we want to have prepared or tackle later. According to the building description, we have asbestos concrete in the window sill and [Eternit] sewage pipes. A lab is testing various samples from the house.

For an exact financing, we need some electrical and sanitary quotes, but we are not getting any quickly.

Can you give me some numbers?

Hello :-) Based on some internet feedback, I wouldn't build a financing plan. If you do the electrical work yourself, then material should be enough? That should be able to be determined. Plumbing can range from....to.
