Hello everyone,
I want to renovate the interior of a basement in an old building. The basement consists of a granite stone plinth and a Prussian vault wall above it. I would level the exterior walls with a lime plaster and then apply calcium silicate boards on top. Since the basement is still a bit damp, I think this would be the best option. As the entire house will be insulated from the inside, the basement ceiling does not need to be insulated, but I would like to try to thermally shield the vault wall/insulate it at the connection to the exterior wall. However, I don’t know how to proceed there. Do you have any ideas? And is exterior wall insulation with calcium silicate in combination with lime a good option?
Thank you very much!
Best regards, Sebastian
