Hello everyone,
we recently purchased an older house and are trying to renew or renovate certain things.
Here we also repainted the old wooden staircase.
For this, we first removed the old glaze as much as possible, then sanded the wood and repainted the staircase.
The treads and risers were painted in different colors.
Unfortunately, the transition between treads and risers did not really succeed; there are rather unsightly transitions and edges.
This is partly because the previous paint could not be completely removed here. I have attached two example pictures for this.
My question now is how this transition could be concealed. At first, I thought an acrylic joint might work, but I have read in other posts that this probably would not be durable/robust enough and would need to be renewed frequently.
Thank you very much and best regards,
Thorben
