Hello,

about 30 years ago we built a hall whose west side wall now looks quite bad (see pictures).

Unfortunately, it is a border building, so the gutter sits on the wall in order not to protrude into the neighbor's property.

Now we would like to renew the exterior wall and are looking for a PERMANENT solution.

What should be done here and which materials could be used on the weather side?
What costs will arise?

Would it possibly be better not to use plaster anymore, but e.g. a metal cladding? But maybe that is bad regarding mold formation?

Hello.
About half a year ago we had similar facade work carried out according to the following specification, maybe it helps you—

Cleaning the facade surface using a high-pressure cleaner
approx. 900.00 sqm €

Left side (standing in front of the building)

For gray area below the attic on loose

plaster check, if necessary remove and prime. Prime the loose
base plaster in advance as well on partial areas of another facade

Street side

For loose plaster on the entrance side bottom right, left corner at offset base I facade reveals staircase window left, next to the steel door as well as on the attic and on partial areas

Facade I sills prime in advance

Back side

For corner at facade I base, large holes in the base at the workshop, on facade partial areas I sills as well as on the attic gray area
prime in advance

Right side
For left of the sliding door (tires), at the corner facade I base, on the entire width attic gray area at the window reveal, at ventilations, base partial areas as well as on facades I sills
prime in advance

as well as for unforeseen, provisions will be made under supervision proof (estimated effort):

FACADE Renovation

One-time primer coat of the facade surface with a water-dilutable, siloxane-reinforced base coating material on acrylic basis to create an evenly absorbent and load-bearing substrate
approx. 870.00 sqm € €

Applying a full-surface fabric reinforcement by embedding reinforcing fabric
approx. 870.00 sqm € €

Supply and installation of fabric corner angles with fabric covering as edge protection rail on building corners, at window reveals and lintels as well as drip edge profiles at the end of cantilevers. Setting closing rails at the flush-fitting steel frames
approx. 445.00 lfm € €

Supply and embedment of reinforcement arrows on all windows and doors to prevent diagonal cracking

Pre-coating of the reinforced facade surface approx. 870.00 sqm

Applying a new finishing coat texture plaster, scratch plaster texture, Kom 3, on the prepared surfaces, tinted color shade
approx. 870.00 sqm € €

One-time painting of the new finishing coat, with a low-tension, very highly CO2- and water vapor-permeable, very highly water-repellent: low contamination-prone true silicone resin paint, with a factory-applied additional treatment with film preservation as preventive protection against algae and spore infestation. Color shade optional, light/tinted
approx. 870.00 sqm

etc.

Thank you for a reply! This is the usual way.

Are there any alternative suggestions here?

Glue on the slips. They are not nice, but they do not add too much bulk. The costs are also reasonable. However, you cannot avoid careful preparations if it is to be durable. This also applies to other solutions.

So "gluing tile strips" sounds too complicated for a hall to me. It doesn’t have to win a beauty contest...

- do you really mean that?!
But the statement doesn’t sound like
"Honest - Professional - Innovative" ?!?
...wasn't really helpful

Is there maybe a kind of "concrete" that can be applied to the house wall?
