Hello,

something stupid happened to a friend of mine, he was at our house helping to clear out a bit. When we were standing in the hallway, an old PC that we wanted to take to the bulk waste flew onto the fresh, new parquet. Now there is a deep dent in it. Since the floor is still quite new, I don't want to have it stripped again.

However, I have never had damages on a wooden floor repaired in any other way. Do you perhaps have TIpps on how to fix the dent well and as invisibly as possible??

What kind of flooring do you have? With [Landhausdielen], for example, you could drill out the spot and have a knot inserted.

Depending on the type of parquet and especially the type of damage (size, shape, depth), you can do it yourself or must hire a professional. In any case, you should repair the damage, as otherwise moisture can penetrate the parquet. There are often repair kits for parquet in specialized wood stores but also in hardware stores. In them, you will find items for sanding, polishing, waxes, varnish pens, etc. As mentioned, it really depends on the size of the dent/scratch. Best regards, Micha

The best thing is to put a small runner over it ;) everything else involves a lot of work.

If the dent is a bit deeper, I wouldn’t hesitate long and would repair it. There are good sets available in hardware stores with which you can take care of it.

hello,
we had a similar problem with our rudda-parkett. we were able to fix it again with the help of a special wax stick. it just depends on how deep the scratch is.
