The woman is self-reliant - I hope I posted this in the right place here!?:p

Because in my shower, the black mold from the previous tenant has taken over. Everything has come off the tiles and tile grout, but not from the silicone edging of the shower. It seems as if the stuff is inside the silicone. Now my question: How do I best get this stuff out of the joint? The knife method seems quite sensible but certainly not thorough. Does anyone have a good tip?

I have always done quite well with the utility knife method, razor blades work now and then as well, and if you are really lucky, the silicone strip can be peeled off like a tape. For the rest, I recommend silicone remover from the hardware store. It doesn't cost much and is very effective. :D

hello

I once had the same problem as you leeloo. I removed the silicone wonderfully with the stanley knife. Of course, it may be that you have to go over some areas again, but I simply used a rezi (sponge) and it worked wonderfully to remove everything. Put on new silicone and it looks wonderful again.
