Hello everyone,

We need to temporarily remove an element of our [Stabgitterzaun]. The problem is that it is an old fence and it is stuck (see pictures). Do you know how to get it out without removing the post? The post must absolutely stay in, we cannot take it out.

Best regards
Sandrina

Remove the cap and pull up the [blende]

We have already tried that, but these black clamps (on all the horizontal braces) are so tight that nothing moves at all. Is there a trick to get them out?

If prying out the press-in clips doesn’t work, then the clamps have to be destroyed and replaced. Sometimes they were glued in the past, so it’s not possible to remove them without damage. For such tasks, I like to use a multitool or a grinder. For reassembly, other fastening devices can also be used (I would improvise something there).

My attempt would probably be like this: 1. Spray the clamps with Caramba or similar; 2. Place a batten into a section of the fence; 3. Strike under the batten with a hammer; while changing the section left/right every handful of blows at most; 3. After loosening, continue this way to avoid skewing the mesh.

Thank you very much for the tips. We will try that out.
