Reimbursement of building expert costs?

if you hire a building surveyor for accompanying quality control during construction, considerable costs can certainly arise.

Is there a way to demand a cost reimbursement from the construction company for the expenses incurred by the client for a building surveyor?

Let us assume that the building surveyor uncovered various defects during the accompanying quality control.

The building savings contract works in your interest, not in the interest of the construction company. The expert causes him trouble, so why should he still (partially) pay for that? He who orders the music...

I will simply put a no out there. You are the client and therefore responsible for paying the costs.

Ask yourself what happens when you want to sell your car or house. The buyer comes with an appraiser and wants you to pay him. Your answer will be no, just as the answer to your question is no.

"Interesting" question! The answer has basically been given multiple times. See it this way: if the building savings contract uncovers defects, it basically pays for itself or pays off. If it doesn't find any defects, then you have still done everything to protect yourself and, if the building savings contract is a reasonable one, you also significantly increase the chance that no defects are present.
