if KNX is already available, then why ask about wifi China crap? Was that really meant seriously?!

Quite clear: eldoled 720d in combination with meanwell power supplies. best practice at the moment..

Yes, the question was actually meant seriously
Of course, I would have preferred it wired. But the costs should remain low for now. Replacement with KNX/DALI/DMX drivers would always be possible later. Especially since in the first expansion stage probably only a very basic KNX with ETS Lite, i.e. 20 participants, will be available. The shutters are connected there and possibly a few switchable power circuits. I would prefer to expand KNX only when I know how much money is left
Of course, the wiring from the technical room to potential participants is already being prepared.

I know that some will say again now "if already KNX, then properly". I see it differently. Not everything has to be done via KNX. So far, our rental apartment is automated via FHEM and various technologies – works great. Nevertheless, IF NEEDED as much as possible should be replaceable by KNX.

Speaking of FHEM: Since I am so enthusiastic about FHEM and would like to continue using it, my current planning status is that I will use the WIFI-RGBWW-LED controllers developed in the FHEM forum. The control via FHEM is possible there, although unfortunately only wirelessly. In further research, I found out that there is neither a (simple) connection for DALI nor for DMX for FHEM.

Cost per controller (minimum prices): - KNX: 170 - DALI: 70 - DMX: I don't have an overview yet - WIFI-RGBWW: 15

I also learned that for modern residential lighting DMX is preferred by some "experts" compared to DALI and KNX. Therefore, I am now considering whether to prepare DMX-compatible cables right away instead of NYM 5x2.5². Does anyone know the cross-section of the conductors of a 5-pin DMX cable?

Your approach regarding KNX Lite is perfectly fine. That is exactly how it can be done.

But I wouldn't determine the hardware because of the logic engine. Have you ever tried Edomi?

Yes and no. On one hand, absolute agreement. On the other hand: If wired costs a few hundred more because of the controllers and then another 1,000€ more for ETS, then that's indeed a reason to first exclude good hardware. No, I don't know Edomi yet - thanks for the hint! I'll definitely check it out.

What did you end up deciding on? I'm also considering how best to do it. I have 4-5 rooms where an LED strip is supposed to be used. Warm white-cold white is enough for me; I won't be using colors anyway.
