How large should the single-family house be, what architecture?

[*]Medium level of equipment
[*]Solid construction

I had hoped there might be some rule of thumb for the individual points (e.g.: floor in EL, you save about 30% of the price estimated by the general contractor at the same quality, etc.)

Unfortunately, it’s not that easy. Do you know the qualities of the equipment offered to you by the general contractor?

Or where does the general contractor select the samples?

That is meant very seriously and pretty much reflects my experience so far with building a house. With EL, we either saved money while maintaining the same quality or treated ourselves to better quality. For example, you can consider whether to invest the savings on your interior doors in better doors or save directly. Or whether you can afford a parquet floor by laying it yourself instead of the laminate floor. That was the point of my statement. Despite the urge to save, you still want to end up owning the nicest possible little house.

Tell me: do we understand the question correctly? Do you want to know how much financial resources you need for your material or do you believe you need to know how much money you ultimately save through muscle mortgage?
