Hello dear ones,
we will soon be building a semi-detached house with a basement.
The soil expert recommends an additional one-meter gravel layer under the slab because the current soil is not stable enough.
Now, two civil engineers have offered us RCL1 gravel as an alternative to regular gravel.
After consulting with the city, this would not be a problem for us since there is no groundwater in our area.
However, we have heard many different opinions about RCL gravel. We have now asked two experts. One says it can be used; the other strongly advises against it.
Does anyone of you have experience with it?
Thank you in advance.
