Raise the curtain rods higher or let the roller shutter belt peek out?

I am currently thinking about curtains or curtain rods in the living room. Now I am considering how to attach them most cleverly. I find our roller shutter straps go exceptionally high. Is that normal? I only noticed this now in the context of thinking about curtains. If I put a curtain rod above the window at the usual height, a piece of the roller shutter strap will peek out at the top. Does that look good? I could install everything higher, but then the curtains would practically start right under the ceiling.

How have you solved this (now for those who don’t have electronic ones)?

I went to school before Pisa, my roller shutter straps are still spelled with two "L"s and are, by the way, led into the boxes near the bottom edge. I really don't see it as a drama. It won't be what people remember at your funeral ;-)

I never believed that I would ever get to correct , which makes it all the more fun right now: Just Google Rollladen and Duden.

Wonderful. And a fun you can surely handle :)

I wrote: You probably overlooked this introduction. At the end of my school time, the German "brothers and sisters" were still separated by a "protective wall" and were yet specially greeted by Kuli, Blacky, Big Wim & Co. That "ketchup" (!) was poured over the spelling happened only much later (shortly before the long-term dropouts were — actually intended differently, but who cares — blessed with academic negative grades).

I don't know why the straps are where they are... ... But I would generally place curtain rods as high as possible.. (and keep the curtains as long as possible)

There are curtain rails that are attached to the ceiling anyway. For example, from Ikea
