Hello everyone,

first of all, big compliments to the forum and the community!
For some time now we have also been builders. Unfortunately, we are building 400km away, so we cannot check everything ourselves directly, but have friends and acquaintances carry out everything when we are not there.

Now it has been noticed that the rafters above the middle purlin are not (any longer?) flush. Is this normal, e.g. as an expansion joint, or should we be worried? Pictures attached. At the beginning, in my opinion, it was not as much or noticeable.

The pictures do not indicate that anything is not flush; and the thing you probably mean is the ridge purlin. The gap may be intended as an expansion joint and works. If it obviously held before with the Siemens air hook, it definitely holds now with the gable below.
