Some people here have actually once smeared their firewood, especially the exterior cladding, with used oil. The risk of diesel/oil in the soil is always present.
The barn in question seems to be clean in this regard, neither a glaze nor any impregnation/coating is visible. Plain, raw wood.
The seller of the completely unspectacular property with the dilapidated giant barn on it wants the price per square meter for developed building land. I will take some photos and inquire with demolition companies along with the measurements. My counteroffer will also be based on that.
