Quality: Grohe Ecostat Select: Temperature adjusts itself

Surprise: cold water set -> unintentionally filled warm water into the flower bucket
as if by ghostly hand, the temperature selector shifts from COLD to WARM
you can watch and count to 3, then it changes from cold -> warm

we have had two fittings from the Ecostat system for 2 years:
1x shower: works perfectly
1x bathtub/shower connection: the ghost fitting

if you think badly about it: it happens exactly after 2 years
and with a Hansgrohe fitting sold as high quality

or is this just a random failure??

I am from the Hansgrohe service team and found your post here.
With a thermostat, hot water and cold water are always connected to each other. This means that if the supply pressures are different, it can affect the function of a thermostat. Your description sounds like something in the basic conditions of the supply network has changed. The fact that it is not the case with the shower thermostat is probably because it is used differently. The adjustment is probably only when it is set to very cold.
However, this is not a problem, just contact us at the phone number 07836511282, then we can discuss everything, determine the cause of the fault, and, if necessary, name the corresponding parts for you. I think it is only a minor issue.
