Hello, we are having the AlphaInnotec KHZ 60 installed in our single-family house, whose controlled residential ventilation is by PLUGGIT. The air supply and exhaust are to be located directly in the exterior wall (basement wall of the utility room) and equipped with light shafts.
Now I read at Pluggit that there can be problems with frost because the frosty supply air can freeze the condensate of the heat exchanger, which leads to a reduced supply air volume and the system shutting down.
What inexpensive options are there to prevent this? This preheating system from Pluggit heats the outside air before it enters the system. That would be okay, but with 900W power it is also a big power consumer. Or not supply air in the basement wall, but rather lay a duct 1-2 meters deep and 4-5 meters long into the garden and set up a small supply air block there. Would that be possible too? I just don’t want to incur so much cost.
