Yes, of course we will do that. The letter came on Friday. Over the weekend, no one works at the bank either.. But an exchange in the forum can't hurt..

According to the bank's letter, this is only the VVE. Other fees are also listed additionally.

So, the details regarding the prepayment penalty are now here... what is driving the amount up is an item "Institutionsaufwand" with 250 EUR. I'm quite shocked... you are just missing out on 360 EUR in interest and for that such a high institutional fee???? I'm really annoyed about this right now... LG Steffi

Whether the lost interest is high or low is irrelevant for the costs incurred. The calculation for a 30,000 euro loan is the same as for 300,000 euro. The effort will be the same. Whether this amount is justified is another matter.

The fee should be stated somewhere in the bank’s terms and conditions, actively ask about it

Why are they missing out on interest? Above, you wrote that you were charged significantly more than the interest.
