Hello everyone, as soon as a plot of land is purchased, it naturally needs to be prepared so that, for example, the groundwork for the foundation slab can begin. But what is that called exactly? Making it ready for construction? The plot should be cleared of vegetation so that, basically, the earthworks for our foundation slab could start the next day. When I search for "clearing," I mostly find things related to demolition of buildings or tree felling. However, we are primarily concerned with the soil. I think it also needs to be leveled when all the vegetation is removed so that the garden is nice and flat, not wavy. Or do landscape gardeners do that? I hope you know what I mean.

Have soil samples or drillings already been done at your place to determine which building materials will be used for the foundation slab? To prevent any settling or even the ground shifting causing potential cracks in the slab or house? Which construction company are you building with?

Soil survey has been planned for a long time, but it cannot be carried out at the moment because it is too overgrown. As soon as the situation with the trees is resolved and the owner has cleared the construction debris, we will clear an area so that the [BGA] can be conducted.

Do you need felling permits or are you allowed to cut down all the trees just like that? If I were you, I would clarify whether the removal of shrubs / wood and so on is included in the earthworks. Otherwise, you have to remove all of that in advance - including any existing tree stumps,...
