Hello again,
we have signed the preliminary contract for the construction of our house. Now a reservation from the construction company has come back because they first need to check if and, if so, with which company the crane may be used for construction.

We have an electricity pylon over the property at the other end of the lot.

If construction must proceed without a crane, what additional costs are to be expected?

Thank you for your help.

Our shell construction was also supposed to be done with a crane. So when the rental crane arrived, it could not be erected due to lack of suitable space and power lines. The shell builder then procured a small electric hand crane on wheels once the floor slab was in place and rolled it around inside the house.

He did grind his teeth, but additional costs: none.

I also did not get the feeling that it took longer. The bricks were placed directly in front of the house by the truck (with crane), the concrete for the ground floor ceiling came with a mixer and concrete pump. In return, he saves the rental fee for the crane or can use it elsewhere.

That would of course be great if it were similar with us ) hope dies last. We still have to wait and see what the company we are building with arranges with the shell construction company.

If additional costs arise... isn't it actually the case that the construction company does not keep their offer.

If we did not accept these additional costs, would we then simply be out of the contract or would we have to pay the % that would have to be paid when terminating the contract?

Our concern with the question is whether we can stand firm and not accept any extra costs or what our position should be in that case.

They are now calculating whether it will cause additional costs and will then present you with a new offer. Sign and accept or no contract. If there are no additional costs, they will confirm the conclusion of the contract to you.

.. and I wouldn't put it as generally as is writing now. After all, it is a preliminary contract .. read through all the clauses related to it.
