Prefab house - hole through exterior wall to the inside

Hello everyone,

we have a prefabricated house (timber frame construction) and need to run a cable from outside to inside through the exterior wall.

Has anyone done this before? What should one watch out for? Or would it be better to leave it alone? Do you need a special drill bit to avoid the risk of the insulation wrapping around the drill?

It would be a hole of about 1 cm.

Now you have to make sure the hole is completely sealed afterwards, otherwise construction damage is inevitable. However, the insulation will let the drill pass through...
