Hi, my property is on a slope... accordingly, my terrace is lower than the ground behind it... I would now like to support this with gabions and fill in the rest because I still have my excavated soil in the garden. This will make my property higher than that of my neighbors on the left side... I would now like to build a small retaining wall on the boundary, which would slope from 0 to about 1.5 m over a length of 12m. So that my property would be level at this point. A colleague said earlier that you can dig a trench and then pour a concrete wall with the help of formwork. Now my question: will that hold?

If you do them properly, yes. Anchor deep enough, reinforcement, etc. We faced the same problem. Do not underestimate the enormous work behind it and also what it costs.

Hello Moni

that will hold!
Dig a trench about 80cm deep. Then build formwork above ground that ends at the top where you want the upper edge of the retaining wall. Then pour concrete in. Make it 1:4. And then add reinforcing steel bars. Don’t skimp on that. It will hold.
Oh yes, the wall should be about 25-30 cm thick.
The costs are not particularly high if you do everything yourself.

Pulled 20 meters. Hollow stones, steel rods inside, and concrete. But they were at most 1.20 meters high.
