I had that too - over 20k. Now I have generated significantly more revenue and haven't even paid 10k. For that, everything in EL...

I can't manage that. We're probably already going beyond what would nowadays be considered a standard installation. In any case, quite an expensive trade. But now it has to be done properly, otherwise I'll be bothered all the time by missing things and will have to deal with retrofitting.

Especially then, one should consider KNX. From a certain size onwards, it is actually cheaper than a conventional installation.

2 of the 3 electrical companies have offered the BUS version alongside the conventional installation. In both cases, the additional cost is almost exactly 10,000 EUR. And with a 3 in front, to be honest, I get dizzy. ;)

But it is certainly because only GIRA or ABB devices are offered, as these are used in 90% of installations here and installed. And in terms of price, they are in the Mercedes range without any real added value.

Well, the Mercedes sector? The big switch manufacturers hardly differ in price – and fuses etc. are all quite similar as well. Of course, there are cheap products too, but I want reasonable durability combined with long availability. KNX only makes sense – if you really want it – if you can do it yourself or truly find a company that knows and understands KNX – and not just the famous 10,000 euro surcharge and then simply converts their conventional wiring 1:1 to KNX, which you really see and read about often...
