Hello everyone home builders,
I have a few questions about installing the ventilation system:
I would like to position my ventilation unit in the basement (fully cellar). The basement does not protrude from the ground on any side.
1. I ventilate the basement itself through light wells, so the ventilation unit should only ventilate the living areas. Does that make sense?
2. The intake of fresh air and the exhaust of used air present a problem for me: I would have to route the pipes basically from the basement to the ground floor (through an opening in the ceiling) and from there over the garage to the house wall. That adds up to several meters of piping. Is that a disadvantage? What would be alternatives? Condensation?
3. In which cardinal direction are the intake and exhaust mounted on the outside wall of the house?
Thank you very much for the help!
Regards
