Hello dear knowledgeable ones,

I want to install a heat recovery system. Due to lack of money, I am doing it myself. So far, I have been able to help myself quite well with Google and YouTube. But somehow not here. I don’t really know where and how many ventilation grilles I have to install. The floor area is 160m². I want to install the system on the floor. Maybe someone who knows about this topic can mark it in the attachment and send it to me? I really don’t know what to do.

Thanks dear community

Hello,
Why? New build or existing building?
First, create (or have created) an energy balance.

Regards

Hello,

thank you for the quick response. The house is a Haacke house and was built in 1996. I have already installed an air heat pump heating system and put a 15 kW photovoltaic system on the roof. The heat pump provides heating, hot water preparation, cooling, and also heats a pool. I would like to install the heat recovery system to reduce the humidity in the house, as we are also smokers and I prefer not to keep the windows open continuously in winter. I am of the opinion (correct me if I am wrong) that I can save heating costs in winter with it, prevent mold, and always have fresh air in the house.

Oh, I forgot that the [boden] is an unheated roof. So not insulated.

Yes, so your intentions are feasible and should work... but really reducing heating costs is not possible... but you always have fresh air in the house and moisture outside...

However, I see a big problem with the cold roof... because a ventilation system must be installed within the building envelope, otherwise the moisture you want to get rid of condenses in the pipes and you have an even bigger problem...

So either insulate the roof, or insulate the pipes and ventilation system very well, or choose another installation location.
