Hello everyone,
We built in 2018 and now want to slowly start working on the outdoor area. I have already dealt with the topic (among other things, I have the specialist book by the garden/landscape gardeners, from which I obtained most of the information).
It is about the terrace area. Approximately 30 cm of mineral gravel needs to be filled (+ bedding and paving, which results in the height up to the bottom edge of the exit to the terrace doors). Currently, the clean layer in the form of RC gravel is visible, which was laid as the base for the basement floor slab.
Now to my question: I have read that it should be excavated down to the planum (i.e., natural ground) and the slope should already be created there. Of course, I do not know if a slope was created under the clean layer. Should I remove the clean layer and rebuild it from below, or am I possibly approaching this too theoretically?
Best regards HausbauBW87
