I have 50-liter containers standing on the south side, which need to be watered daily in summer. The small plant pots certainly more often. In the prairie garden, sedum and co grow well without watering. I think I watered it twice this year.

I think lavender also does reasonably well, at least it grew like algae on my property before we leveled everything. No one watered it all summer (except Petrus), but the lavender was fine.

he had the chance to take deeper root. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work in containers. The difference between pots and ground is enormous.

Ok, that sounds reasonable.

Maybe grasses like switchgrass can also manage under the conditions. The location is suitable.
They do well for me in full sun
Switchgrass
Asian bugleweed
Pringle's aster
Moor reed grass
Finger-shaped beard grass
Candelabra speedwell
Echinacea

Make sure to cover the soil with mulch. Think a little is better than nothing and helps prevent drying out

Portulaca flowers are also pretty if you like colorful things.
