Hello everyone,
we are currently planning our outdoor area. We have a full south-facing side, so there is a lot of sun in the summer.

At the moment, we want to put flower boxes into Euro pallet furniture and plant the right plants there. Do you have a recommendation on what to plant there that won’t dry out quickly?
The problem is that the plant boxes only leave little space for soil, does it even make sense to plant something there? They are exposed to the sun all day.

Thank you very much in advance

Spontaneously, I would say stonecrop and low sedum, there are many leaf colors of these and they also bloom nicely. They tolerate heat and dryness. You can also try dianthus species like [Vexier-Lichtnelke] or catnip, they bloom for a very long time.

I wouldn't do that. You are allowed to water several times a day.

You're welcome I just searched Google for "Sedum pallet planter," there are some very nice pictures in there

Rosemary is always nice. Almost indestructible, tolerates very hot conditions and needs little water. Blooms beautifully, the bees like it and so does the kitchen.
