Hello everyone,
the following question regarding our project.
Here are two excerpts of the very open designed living and dining area.
The kitchen as well as the dining table are slightly elevated and have a ceiling height of 2.6m.
The area around the fireplace, reading chairs or sofa (the viewpoint is from here) have a height of 2.75m with a "gallery height" of about 5.2m.
Our question is - should we design the kitchen and dining area with this level change - disadvantage - ceiling height only 2.6m - or should we align the level to 2.75m and make everything even?
What do you think, how does the kitchen space feel in the case of 2.6m?
We like the level change, but we are not sure if this 15cm difference feels too "oppressive". Mind you - the front dining area is equipped with floor-to-ceiling glass on all three sides and brings a lot of brightness.
Thanks for your opinions
Best regards, Mike
