Meal time,

we have now been in the house for a good six months and have already installed most of the planned lamps. Now it's slowly getting to the kitchen.
Here is a brief update on the current status:

We have an L-shaped kitchen and a switchable socket on one wall above. From here, two circuits of LED strips are to be laid.

The plan:
I have looked at the parts from Paulmann "YourLED." The LEDs are encapsulated and I think they are the best choice for the kitchen. A power supply is to be connected to the socket, from where two circuits will be laid.
The first is relatively simple: behind the wall cabinets downwards and the LED strips glued from below to the cabinets.
For the second, I am not quite sure yet: this is the circuit for the indirect lighting of the countertop from below (handleless kitchen).
Here, the kitchen fitter has laid a cable under the countertop through the profile in the bend of the L (so relatively central). But since two strips (one to the right and one to the left) have to be routed from there, I am not quite sure how to do this.
Paulmann only has a four-way distributor. That will be too large to hide it outside under the countertop. Unfortunately, there is no T-piece...

Do you have any idea how to distribute from one plug to two strips in the smallest possible space?

Best regards
Sebastian

Solder it yourself? That would spontaneously seem to me the easiest way......and please, don't just stick the LED strips somewhere without anything underneath, that looks so cheap and tasteless! Better invest ten bucks in a slim aluminum profile with a frosted cover. It looks much more high-quality that way!

Are the stripes operated with 230 V? Possibly a blank cover with a small hole for cable entry instead of a socket? Or simply solder to a plug.

They are powered with 12V.

I would also just solder it myself.

Why did you choose Paulmann?

Hi,

thanks for the feedback.
We have now laid the first circuit and will use the delta profile under the cabinets, not just the bare LEDs.

For the strips that go under the countertop, we will also choose a profile with diffusion or make something ourselves out of Plexiglas. It really doesn’t look very nice when you can see the individual LEDs...

They will all be operated with 12V. That’s why I will also solder a cable together so that I only have to pull the cables themselves through the hole...

We decided on Paulmann because it was cheap at our hardware store and we know someone who works there and recommended it to us (and not just because that person works there ;)

When everything is finished, I can post some pictures if needed.

Ok. The local hardware store has them too. That's why I'm asking. Bring on the pictures!
