Good evening everyone,
We are considering connecting our kitchen with the living room and installing an open kitchen.
Now the question arises whether the wall that would have to be removed is a load-bearing wall?
According to the plan, it is a wall thickness of 11.5cm.
The plans also state that on the ground floor the wall thicknesses of 24cm as well as 11.5cm are load-bearing.
Exterior walls 24cm
Load-bearing interior walls 11.5cm/24cm
Non-load-bearing " " 11.5cm
What is confusing for me as a layperson is the (Non-load-bearing " " 11.5cm).
On the ground floor there are exactly two such 11.5cm thick walls.
Can one determine from the plans whether the wall between the kitchen and living room is load-bearing?
Thank you in advance
Regards Rene
