In an article about the conversion of the attic, I just came across the positioning of the staircase to the attic. Currently, the classic folding attic ladder is still uninspiredly placed in the middle of the hallway and house.
Are there possibly better positions?
If, for example, it is necessary to permanently convert the attic and possibly install a fixed space-saving staircase, the current position would be very inconvenient.
Therefore, I am considering moving the position to the left hallway wall and further towards Child I (blue in the picture). This would allow upgrading the hatch directly with a fixed staircase without major changes.
So far, I have not seen asymmetrically installed attic hatches; are there any reasons besides the appearance against it? The attic already has 2m height at that point, and the positioning should not play a major role for a later room layout in the attic?
