Hello everyone,

we want to build a single-family house in BaWü.
Time and again you read about verification statics.
Do we need to budget money for this?

As far as I understand so far, it depends on the building type.

Best regards, Daniel

My architect had his structural analysis checked by a third party (have to), which cost me 1900,-. The house is quite simply built, 1.5 stories, just under 140 sqm, gable roof, solid.

Structural engineers for verification are only mandatory in a few federal states. Hesse and Brandenburg or something like that? In BW, I don't think so.

For me, the procedure and amount are the same. However, for me, it is 1900€ net.

Whether it is mandatory or not is beside the point. I have no desire for a shell ruin where the structural calculations are deficient due to a missing two-eyes principle.

Do you also have a second architect, heating engineer, and tiler?

The structural engineer is liable for his work. In the rest of the republic, that is sufficient.

We in Bavaria also did not have to have that done.
