Hello everyone,
Our house has a shed roof without an eave.
I have attached a picture and have some questions that hopefully someone can answer.
1) What is the metal cover called that has holes from below and what is its function?
2) This metal cover as a whole is not completely flush with the plaster or the wall in some places (hopefully visible in the picture?). Is this correct? If not, is it a defect for the developer and especially, what can happen?
Thank you in advance

That is called an attic

And what you call unevenness is probably within the allowable range and only of an optical nature.

Would still complain about it.

Thank you very much.
Is this the parapet on a roof as well? I only knew it from roof terraces.
Here is another picture of the roof...
And what would be the purpose of these holes (seen in the first image)? Thanks

Depending on the executed roof construction, roofs are often ventilated to prevent trapped moisture - e.g., in double standing seam zinc coverings beneath the water-bearing layer - as moisture can form below the metal sheets due to condensation. If this is not discharged, the substructure will eventually rot.

This air-carrying layer requires openings at the edge for air and moisture exchange. The area is covered with a perforated sheet so that animals cannot easily make themselves comfortable in the ventilation layer.

A look at the execution planning of the roof should contain information about the executed roof construction.
