Yes, I have as well. But there are also special 4G dongles for inverters that connect to the phone network via a SIM card. They don’t cost a fortune. There are indeed photovoltaic systems far away from fiber optics, cable, or telephone lines.

We would need something cheap. I just googled. Lidl also has these mobile routers... One more thing would be important: How many MB per month does such a connection with an inverter consume? Would a contract with 3GB/month be enough?

Without knowing the exact data, I would guess that 3 MB might also be sufficient. Maybe there is somewhere something cheap with 500mb or so.

Our inverter from Senec also needed internet. I "borrowed" it from the neighbor via the Fritz router. He gave me his login details and the Wi-Fi reached all the way to our utility room. Later, I gave him a small gift and a cozy neighborhood evening for the half-year shared use. ;) Maybe that's also a "cheap" option for you?

Good idea, but it doesn't work for us. New development area, everyone is just building...
