I don't quite understand the question. The text contains completely different numbers than the headline. You don't really have much leeway with a 10.2 meter wide house on 17 meters of space anyway. 3.8m is basically the maximum. Whether you want to get in and out separately for the next 40 years is up to you.

For driving through that is enough, for parking too, one person getting out on both sides is tight

We'll leave it as it is for now, 2 parking spaces are also planned in front of the house, that should be enough for the time being. If the application is not approved and things have to be changed anyway, we'll reconsider it. A wider garage certainly has advantages.

Hello, we have only 3 m driveway width at our current house, a semi-detached house as well. It is tight, but it works... we have two larger cars, I fold in the mirrors, park quite close to the edge, and on the other side people get out!
