Hello everyone,
We will soon be carrying out painting work in the new building. It involves drywall partitions with Rigidur gypsum fiber boards (commonly also called Fermacell) and a regular gypsum plasterboard ceiling. We want to achieve a fine texture visually.
We will do the puttying work ourselves on tack points and joints, although the wall surface itself already has a Q3 finish.
There are now two proposals on the table. Either to have a fine lime plaster applied directly or to install a painter's fleece and then paint it. Perhaps also a mix of both on different floors or in the children's rooms (there are two small children).
What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of both options, also considering the expected costs?
