Hello,
have you perhaps ever painted borders with stencils? I bought a stencil and want to start the whole thing in the next few days. But somehow I have concerns that the colors might bleed. The design is supposed to be applied in three different colors. When I fix the stencil with painter's tape, as the instructions say, I think that the colors might run underneath. Is that actually the case, or is it easier than I currently imagine? Thanks for your help! :)

Hello! It depends on which colors you use. I have done something like that before with self-adhesive stencils and simple poster paints. Nothing has run and it still looks great. Best regards, Liane

I've tried something like that too. -Problems only occur if you slap on too much paint at once. -Then it of course drips. But if you work with a sponge, for example, it works great!

Yes, I also think it depends on the type of paint... if they are too liquid, then they run, but poster paints are practically good for such things, you just mustn't dilute them too much.

That's really not that hard! You just have to be careful not to get too much paint, otherwise it can all run. But other than that, it's not difficult. One more tip: wait before you take off the stencil until the paint is a bit dry, that way you additionally avoid smudging! So good luck!! :)
