Hello everyone,
We would like to soon paint our cement screed floor in the utility room with a skirting board.
In this basement, as mentioned above, we have cement screed, no heating, and we use it as a laundry room and utility room.
The cement screed is still untreated and the edge insulation strips are still around the screed.
We thought of painting the floor with Wilckens garage floor coating (this has been mentioned 2-3 times in various posts here in the forum, other suggestions are also welcome).
The questions that are not yet quite clear to us are the following:
Thank you very much
Best regards, Rene

The questions that are not yet quite clear to us are the following:
[*]What to do with the edge insulation strip? Cut flush and fill with acrylic and form a fillet? Cut flush and fill with filler? Other suggestions? (If yes, regarding acrylic, how many days in advance would you apply the acrylic joint? Would you prime first or afterwards?)
[*]Since our screed still sands quite a bit, which primer would you recommend for cement screed? Deep primer? Adhesion primer? The manufacturer recommends 2K adhesion promoter from their own brand, but this is very expensive and I don’t really think it’s necessary in a basement.
Thank you very much
Best regards, Rene
