Hello,

we want to tear down the wooden garden house and instead put up a garden house from Biohort. Next to it a small wooden sauna (2-3 people) and in front of it a small whirlpool.

Is the sauna exempt from approval or do I have to ask someone? It’s also about being naked and so on.

Look into the [Landesbauordnung] to see what is exempt from approval. The regulations are completely different there. Sauna and garden shed must not be connected, otherwise area/volume are added together. Whether you are naked there does not concern the authorities. For the sake of good neighborly relations, however, a privacy screen should be mandatory.
