Alex, we hauled them into the building ourselves. Pack by pack through the window.

The quantity is actually not a problem in our case but thanks for the hint ;)

They really aren't large areas, so it all stays within limits. I just have to make the man understand that he has to carry them all inside :D

But you can really hear that many of the tile layers probably have no problem. With our first construction 12 years ago it was a bit different. The tile layers also wanted to sell the tiles themselves. However, some of them had their own tile studio.

In short, this was how it was with us. Tiles are to be selected at x, y, or z. Tile price 25,- per sqm. We then chose from one of the three. The tiler placed the order, as he knew how many sqm he needed. The discounts he had at x, y, z he passed on to us by half, so that we could actually go up to 27;- per sqm.

I asked before as well and he had no problem with it, I just had to sort out the logistics and the material should be there on time. For the sake of completeness, he of course mentioned that he is not responsible for the quality of the material procured by myself and does not guarantee the joint dimensions if they are not rectified tiles, but that was basically it.

In the end, it was great work, he even managed to use the floor tiles as wall tiles.

With over 100 sqm and a 15 euro/sqm price difference, you don’t hesitate twice about buying locally.

But carrying over 100 packages really works the muscles.

Hey,

We also put the tiler out to tender separately and bought the tiles ourselves, because apparently we have a too "difficult" taste ;)
It went great, but carrying them in is up to you, alternatively money sorts it out ^^ the tilers would have carried them in for payment as well.

Best regards, Tina
