Hey everyone,
I am in the process of planning a kitchen and am still not quite sure how to proceed.
I have almost planned the kitchen using the kitchen planner (it's relatively easy since there was already a kitchen before, which I want to keep in terms of the structure - but a new one is needed because mine is already 40 years old and even Bulthaup eventually loses the doors).
Now I would like to take advantage of the offer to have Ikea do the measurements if it makes sense, just to be really sure that everything fits. What exactly do they do there? And what do I have in my hands afterwards... a plan on paper? Or the numbers to enter into the planner? I wonder if I really need that? It's only one long side to measure (and the connections).
On Ikea's website it says you can order the measurement service if you order the kitchen through Homeshopping. Which I, however, do not want.
My plan:
- Plan the kitchen myself beforehand (done)
- Have Ikea do the measurements... and check if I planned correctly.
- Take the plan to my Ikea store to a nice kitchen advisor to have them review it and possibly make tips and changes.
- If everything is okay, use the shopping service to order and have everything delivered
- ... and have it assembled
Did I forget anything? Can I also have the measurement done if I then want to do everything at Ikea on site?
Probably it says something somewhere and I’m just "not yet" well informed. I have two small children running around here and I just don’t manage to read up that much.
It would be nice if you could help me. Or if you have a few other tips to share!
Best regards, caotina
