Hello again,

I don’t even know if this question is right here, but I’ll just ask it:

Our dishwasher Renlig DW60 uses an enormous amount of rinse aid, in my opinion! Well, every two weeks I have to refill it. With my previous dishwasher (different model) that wasn’t the case. Is that normal???

We also already had the first difficulties with the thing: when we ran a 60 degree program, the tablet didn’t dissolve properly and the dishes were still totally dirty. Now we have switched to putting the tablet directly into the machine and only using 65 degree programs, it works now, but it annoys me! I read somewhere that the tablets aren’t that great. Should I switch to powder instead? I put in salt and rinse aid anyway...

Thanks in advance and have a nice Sunday!

hello,
that seems to me to be too high a rinse aid consumption. have you already tried reducing the setting for the amount?

of course, it makes no sense to use tablets with softener and rinse aid if there is also salt and rinse aid in the machine. that is both economically and ecologically bad.

whether the tablet falls out of the compartment or is placed directly into the machine should make no difference. was the tablet still stuck in the detergent compartment? was it open after rinsing?

The compartment was open, but the tab was still stuck in there in part or somewhere half crumpled in the dishwasher.

There are also simple tabs, that's what I meant. I had read somewhere that they are not that good, but I don't remember exactly where and now I wonder if I should generally switch to powder.

I wouldn't even know where I could set that. A light always blinks when the rinse aid is empty and then I refill it. Can that be set?? I have to look in the manual.

By the way, the water softening can also be adjusted depending on the water hardness.

For sticky residues, I would try other tabs.
Zu einfach tab and rinse aid, salt or kombi tab writes Warentest (2010):
"The proven combination of solo tab plus separate rinse aid and salt produced even better results back then. That has since changed."
Unfortunately, nothing is said about the environmental compatibility of kombi tabs compared to individual components.
Ökotest (2004): "The downside is poorer washing performance and a higher environmental impact."
