Hello everyone,
We have some questions regarding oiling parquet.
A few days ago, we had mosaic parquet made of oak installed in our apartment. After installation, it was oiled twice with a parquet oil from Forbo (879).
The installation company told us that we should re-oil after about 6 months, or respectively after one year.
Among other things, it is mentioned that a refreshment with oil-wax emulsion can be done.
If we chose the oil-only variant for the first application, why should we suddenly use the oil-wax variant for a refreshment? Doesn’t that result in a different appearance? And do we then have to move all the furniture again? Cabinets, couch, etc. would be really tedious?!
Thank you for your help

[*]Is it sufficient to apply just one coat when re-oiling, or must two coats also be applied then?
[*]What kind of cleaning should be done before oiling?
[*]Should the same oil be used as after installation, or does it not matter if it is from a different manufacturer...?
