Three years ago, I had layered parquet with underfloor heating installed in my new build, which was initially oiled three times with Osmo hardwax oil. Meanwhile, I have many ugly stains, especially in the kitchen and under the table. The parquet is alarmingly sensitive when it comes to (water) stains.
How can I restore the parquet to good condition? I would rather not sand it because the top layer only allows sanding once. After just three years, that is too early for me.
Do I simply apply a new layer of oil over the stains? Or do I need to treat the stains first? The water stains are darker than the parquet but not black oxidized. The grease stains are also darker but without oxidation. So I have wood-colored but darker stains all over the floor.
I hope someone here has experience with this. Thanks in advance!
