What about the compressive strength when in the end there is more pipe than floor to cover?

Good question But the manufacturers must have had their reasons if they declare this installation spacing as possible

That is exactly why there is a minimum coverage of the pipes, so that you have a continuous minimum screed thickness ==> which usually also corresponds to the minimum thickness without underfloor heating. In this respect, the installation spacing is irrelevant.

Doesn't make sense. What happens with an installation spacing of 0? The screed layer, no matter how thick, is not freely supported like a concrete slab. It is supported from below... Well, it will probably be fine ;)

In reality, however, no one has a laying distance of 0cm. At 7.5cm, there would still be about ~85% screed, which is no problem with appropriate coverage.
