Hello everyone, it's slowly getting warm and we want to sow the lawn soon. Now I am wondering, can I sow the lawn directly on the topsoil or should I mix in some lawn soil? Can you recommend good lawn seeds? It should be a normal sports and play lawn.

So we sowed our lawn shortly before Easter. The weather is currently optimal here. We simply threw the lawn seed on the topsoil. Without fertilizer or anything else. Now we'll see what comes of it. The following lawn was recommended to me: Saatzucht Barowick, and there the Sport and Play lawn. It is a bit more expensive but is supposed to withstand small children.

About the lawn: The one from Bardowick seems really okay. Many buy it, our gardener too. Yes, he says, it can go directly on topsoil. If the soil is very poor, sandy, add a bit of fertilizer. Karsten

One should always buy a "Regel-Saatgut-Mischung," also called an RSM. There are different standards, e.g., RSM 2.1 Gebrauchrasen Standard.

Regarding the soil ... it depends! One could also apply a starter fertilizer. The most important thing later on is regular mowing!

Hello,

I also have a question here about how to close "Pfurchen" again?

Do you buy regular potting soil for that or should you buy something else?
