Hi!

It is quite legitimate to give relatives, friends, and neighbors some money when they help with house construction/renovation. It should just be less than the usual amounts for craftsmen.

How is it then with financing where, for example, a house renovation is also financed. Normally, the bank wants to see invoices for services rendered. If I now, for example, gradually hand €5000 to my buddies because they occasionally helped me? There is no invoice for that. How do I get the money from the bank?

What does practice say

Regards

Well, the bank says at most: No payout without proof (invoice). The tax advisor starts to ponder, and the tax office grumbles something about illegal work. The occasional crate of beer and the suckling pig will have to be paid from equity. Regards I.

My bank said: keep a few € from the equity to be able to cover such costs. [Schwarzarbeit] is not supported by them, i.e. no money without an invoice.

Use equity for that. But be careful: Some banks want you to use your declared equity for the home financing first and foremost. Therefore, it sometimes makes sense to declare only 80,000 instead of the available 100,000 for financing (the kitchen still needs to be paid for), so that you remain liquid.

Hello

You can have a maximum of 10k paid out from the "Muskelhypothek". Everything else gets tight! Or you end up at a savings bank with unattractive interest rates... so better pay from equity then!

You mean I could say that my neighbor helped me roof the house and I want to give him 500€ for it.
And the bank accepts that and transfers the 500?
