Never heard of it, but it sounds good. I looked on Google and unfortunately there is no [GU] in our area... Yes to solid house construction... or is that what you mean?

Yes, the companies have many names. Finding a good one is the art. The best way is to go to other home builders and ask directly who they built with and if they were satisfied.

If you want to look at finished floor plans, take a look at [Reihenhausanbietern] – after all, you are building a [Reihenmittelhaus], which, however, stands free.

And most general contractors do not advertise with this term (it is too little known among laypeople in the first Google phase); if it is about individual solid houses, you are probably in the right place. Often they simply refer to themselves as "construction companies."

We have friends who built with a [Massivhausanbieter] (is it allowed to mention names?), so we made an appointment with them. He "forgot" this appointment and we were left standing there... at the second appointment we also didn't really get the impression that he would respond to our wishes...

What budget had you envisioned for the house? Roughly estimated, I am at 330K euros.

We don't know that, it depends on many things: which heating system, planning a garage at the same time?, photovoltaic panels on the roof (retrofit will be difficult because we have to go through the house as the sunny side faces the garden), which energy efficiency (55, 40 or 40+) and so on and so forth. Does it have to/can it be turnkey or ready to move in?

I estimate between 270k and 300k (plus the demolition of the existing apartment on the property, but where will we live then)
