Nail the baseboards or use these mounting clips?

Actually, we wanted to nail the baseboards, preferably with a nail gun.

Now everyone is talking about these clip baseboards. Until now, we somehow didn't even know such things existed. But the only advantage of the clips is that you can't see any nails and you could remove the baseboards undamaged and reuse them, right?

And all these clip mounts also have to be attached with some kind of anchors, and I find them especially really expensive?

Do you also think this is overrated or are the clips a real "insider tip"? :)

That works,
but depending on how uneven the wall is, you need a few more, otherwise the battens will stick out,
that's why I will glue them this time.

It's just annoying when the screed is still settling a lot?
Then a gap appears.

Yes, that's true,
but I can change the strip again.
I think glued on is hard to remove, or all the glue is on the wall.
